MARIO DANCING GUNNER

OVERVIEW

Mario Dancing Gunner is a video game developed by DarkSyndrome. This game was programmed using Scratch and uploaded to itch.io, GameJolt, and the website it was programmed on, Scratch. This information is also in the game itself, albeit with less information, due to constraints within Scratch's window ratio. This game was designed to feel somewhat like old 2000s Shareware games, but also has a bit of the developer's flavouring into it. The game has sprites that I do not own, such as sprites from the Super Mario and Mortal Kombat franchises. This is NOT the final build of the game, and will be updated. However, because this is the downloaded version, you will have to go back to GameJolt or itch.io to update Mario Dancing Gunner to the newest version. This game also does NOT save. However, inside the game there is a section for "Passwords." When you do something important, you can enter a password to go back to that point after death.

TO CONTROL MARIO

To move Mario around, use WASD or the arrow keys. Arrow keys are recommended. To dance, press E. To reload your gun, press R and to shoot, you must press space. Eventually in the game you will be given powerups, which can be toggled in the menu that you will get with the first powerup.

CREDITS

All Super Mario Bros. 1 sprites ripped by SuperJustinBros, but made by Nintendo. The Luigi! bullet sprites were made by Nintendo as well. The blood sprite was ripped by XTH@WK, but made by the people behind Mortal Kombat 3 for the SNES. The burning/ashes sprite was ripped by AFruitADay! and made by Kaneko. Midis were found from vgmusic.com and modified by me, DarkSyndrome. Sound effects were recorded by me, except for the burning and blood sounds. The burning sounds are from GTA: SA and PvZ, and I sadly don't know who recorded the blood splatter sound effect. But I do not own it. Spamton's sprites were created by Toby Fox and edited by people working on DELTARUNE and also me. The secret 'boss' song was created by Yorkshire Pond Denizens on YouTube and modified by me to suit the other songs in the game.
